Applicants that meet the criteria set by Citizenship and Immigration Canada are accepted into a pool of candidates
Once in the pool of candidates, applicants are ranked according to a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The rankings are based on the candidate’s profile data and are used by CIC to determine the most suitable candidates.
CIC conducts draws to invite candidates to apply to immigrate under one of the programs noted above. The candidate will have 60 days to file a PERFECTED application. Processing times are estimated to be 6 months from the time the PERFECTED application is submitted.
Express Entry into Canada is a two-step process. First, candidates will file an online ‘profile’, summarizing their qualifications, and for the FSW program, the profile must include test results from one of three official-approved language tests given. These approved tests are the IELTS and CELPIP for English and the TEF for French.
If you also have a university degree from outside of Canada, you are required to include the results of the ECA evaluation by one of the approved evaluation agencies. You would also have to include a summary of your work experience.
